Studio Fuksas, led by Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, is an international architecture firm with offices in Rome, Paris, and Shenzhen. In the last 40 years it has developed over 600 projects, receiving numerous international awards.
Massimiliano Fuksas, of Lithuanian origins, graduated in Architecture from La Sapienza University in 1969. He has been a visiting professor at numerous universities including: the École Spéciale d'Architecture in Paris, the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste in Vienna, the Staadtliche Akademia des Bildenden Kunste in Stuttgart, and Columbia University in New York City. In 2000 he was Director of the VII International Architecture Exhibition in Venice.
Doriana O. Fuksas nee Mandrelli, was born in Rome where she later graduated in History of Modern and Contemporary Architecture from La Sapienza University in 1979 and subsequently graduated in Architecture at ESA in Paris. She has carried out various teaching roles in the Art History Department of the Faculty of Literature and ITACA Department of Industrial Design of Rome’s La Sapienza University. Since 1985 she has collaborated with Massimiliano Fuksas and since 1997 she has been the director for Fuksas Design.
