Bartoli Design
The studio’s research explores elegance based on
simplicity and balance.
Bartoli Design, a team comprising Anna and Paolo Bartoli, continues the experience in design developed with Carlo Bartoli (1931-2020) through many partnerships with leading companies in the furniture sector along many years. From concepts to product design, art direction and brand strategies, the studio’s activities embrace the full spectrum of design services. Bartoli Design also works on architecture, exhibition and interiors. The studio’s work has been exhibited in Italy and abroad: at the Triennale Design Museum in Milano, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Stadt Museum in Cologne, as well as in New York, Prague, Hong Kong, Athens and Buenos Aires. The Gaia armchair is included in the design collection at the MOMA in New York and the Triennale De- sign Museum in Milano. The 4875 chair is on display in the design col- lection at the National Arts Museum of the Pompidou Centre in Paris. Bartoli Design received the XXI Compasso d’Oro ADI award for the R606Uno chair in 2008 and, in 2016, Carlo Bartoli also received the XXIV Compasso d’Oro ADI Career Award. The studio was selected to appear on a set of Italian postage stamps entitled “Italian Design for a New Domestic Landscape”. Anna, Carlo and Paolo Bartoli have delivered many conferences and workshops about design. They’ve been teaching in universities and design schools, in Italy and abroad. Paolo Bartoli is currently heading the New Product Design workshop for the international Master in Furniture Design at POLIDesign / Politecnico di Milano university.
