Centro di Medicina
Conegliano, Italy
This project by Mario Mazzer Architects is an extension of “Centro di Medicina” a private medical clinic located in Conegliano Veneto, Italy. Winner of 2016 American Architecture Prize and Architizer Award, the new extension appears as a black sculptural monolith, that is characterized by the protruding emergency staircase that diagonally runs across the East facade. A large glass wall, where the entrance to the clinic is located, interrupts the solid appearance of the structure on the north side.
Preso handle by Mario Mazzer was chosen in satin chrome finish. Preso is a model with a decisive shape that blends perfectly with the clinic's interior, characterized by pure lines which are highlighted by a refined use of materials.
